Our client in the architectural fabrication industry with specialization in developing technical-level competencies in young people to enable them to gain skills set for life, seeks to hire a curriculum development facilitator who will have both practical experience in curriculum development and training, as well as theoretical understanding of youth development, global standards, and social work.

The ideal candidate will report to the Program Advisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate and implement professional development training sessions for staff and students in interactive workshops on Youth Development, Leadership Development, Global Citizenship, Self-Identity, Family and Community, Relationships, Faith, Ethics, Work and Livelihood, Money, Health, Leisure, and Politics
  • Create curriculum and lesson plans on current events and relevant themes
  • Supervise the coordination of lesson plan and workshop development for programs, ensuring that they are aligned with creative design frameworks, and organizational mission
  • Review, edit, contribute to and prepare a new curriculum for publishing
  • Provide onsite observation, feedback, and consultation
  • Design of lesson plans for daily lessons
  • Articulation of session goals and testable outcomes
  • Specification of classroom format, material, and instructional resource materials and equipment
  • In charge of staff training and other administrative duties as may be required

Requirement and experiences

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social work, Education, International Relations, Curriculum Development, etc.); Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Experience developing curriculum, curriculum maps, lesson plans, and resource materials.
  • Counseling experience will be an advantage
  • Experience using interactive experiential learning strategies, counseling and conflict resolution skills, and youth development/leadership strategies
  • Supervision and project management experience
  • Excellent facilitation, consensus-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative, creativity, willingness to learn, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks independently
  • Writing, editing, organizational, and technology skills
